Our latest machine expansion adds a second NEW High-Speed 40x26 VM3 HAAS Machining Center, increasing our capabilities to serve our customers, maintain competitiveness and improve deliveries.
Management and staff at Sciens Industries are proud to announce our most recent machine acquisition of a Nakamura Tome SC200 LMYS Mill-Turn Center. This multi-axis, multi-spindle machine broadens our capabilities with state of the art technologies required to stay competitive in a specialized and demanding field. As Sciens continues to expand, we remain committed to purchasing and maintaining up-to-date equipment, ensuring maximum performance and efficiency to better serve our growing customer base across North America.
This is the fifth new CNC machine added in less than three years, with a total business investment of over $720,000, further evidence of Sciens Industries’ success through strong overall customer satisfaction.
During a plant tour at Sciens Industries June 17th in Peterborough ON, Ontario Premier Kathleen Wynne announced $80,000 of government funding through the EODF (Eastern Ontario Development Fund) to support the growth and job creation at Sciens Industries. Sciens has committed to $840,000 in capital investment and to create 10 new jobs for the local economy over the next four years.

To stay competitive and to offer improved deliveries and capacity, Sciens has increased its skilled workforce by 30%.
We have upgraded our Quality Management System to AS9100B/ISO 9001:2008 certification.
Our level of Quality Management System will be elevated to AS 9100 Rev B Standard. In line with our quality vision and values, we are undertaking the registration process because our AEROSPACE business has been growing steadily over the past years. The anticipated certification date is August 2009.
Sciens Industries is Expanding! Ground has been broken on Fisher Drive in the Major Bennett Industrial Park in Peterborough, Ontario. This will be the location of our new 8,400 sq ft industrial home which will be completed in the Fall of 2009.
We are now ISO 9001:2000 Certified through QAS International.
